My main reason for setting up this website is to help others
who are pursuing a similar goal to me, which is to create a completely personal
assistant, like J.A.V.I.S from the iron man films, on a budget. id like to say
at this point that although I am good with a computer, I have no ability to
write code, so any that you do find within the website will be the works of
others.
My
personal assistant is named L.U.C.A.S, if youd like to know what it stands for

throughout the different profiles and tasks which I explain how to set up.
My system is made of 5 main components
- Voxcommando for speech recognition whilst at
home
- Tasker for speech recognition on a mobile phone
(android only)
- Dropbox for syncing the systems together
- XBMC
- And finally Micasaverde’s Vera Lite for
controlling physical items (such as lights and blinds)
There are a range of other apps which I use throughout my
work aswell, however these are the main ones. Also seeing as this is a work in
progress, I may need to use more.
